Beef Marrow Bones
Beef marrow bones are used for homemade bone broth or a bone marrow appetizer. What is a beef marrow bone? Well, it typically comes from the shank portion of the leg of a cow. For bone broth, roast the bones, then add them to a stockpot with water, veggies, and spices. You can also roast the bones and spread the marrow on a warm baguette or on warm tortillas with a squeeze of lime for authentic tacos de tuetano. Need to keep frozen
They should be shipped and sold from frozen section. With the long expiration dates they are spoiled in refrigerator section.

Smells funny
I have tried to use these narrow bones three times now and no matter what BB date is on the package when I open it smells like rotten meat?! Very difficult for me to want to make Pho with ingredients that smell like they’re rotten! I understand some types of meat will have a different smell but it should NOT smell like rotten meat! I have wasted over 100 dollars thinking it was just a bad batch but I will not buy this brand again with it smelling like that!

Great product.
Our experience has been a good one. The bones were fresh , I froze them and I just thought them out and i'm making a bone broth.
I blanched the bones first by putting them in a pot of water with a splash of apple cider , vinegar slow , boil for ten minutes and skimmed off the top and then added my vegetables and am and am now cooking it for a couple of hours on a low flame.
Smells great in here.
I recommend blanching the bones first , rinse them in pure water, and then add them to a good water source with the splash of apple cider vinegar.
