Arepa and Bowl Cheekmeat
Ingredients
- Rumba Meats® Beef Cheek Meat (1 pound)
- 1 Onion
- 1 Bell Pepper
- ½ stalk leek
- 3 stalks spring onion
- 1 stalk celery
- 2 tbsp cilantro
- 1 tsp cumin
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 3 leaves culantro
- salt
- black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup beef broth (from cooking the meat)
- 1 tomato
Instructions
- Cook the meat in water until tender, 1–4 hours
- Cut into strips or cubes
- Chop all vegetables and herbs
- Cook the meat in olive oil and when brown, add all vegetables and herbs
- Add the broth
- Serve it as a filling in a corn arepa or in a bowl with rice, spinach and avocado
