Bring Your Passion and Heritage Together
When you’re making traditional meals, the dish you’re putting together isn’t necessarily the most important aspect of la experiencia. It’s the music, the impromptu dances, stories, and laughs that really take el sabor beyond the plate. It’s the memories you bring back and the contentment of a long sobremesa. For Hispanic Heritage Month, Rumba Meats is celerating everything that surrounds a meal in a Hispanic home.

Huaraches de Lengua y Cheek from @AnaTovarNelson
There is one surefire way @AnaTovarNelson can bring back her childhood in Mexico City, and it’s with these Huaraches. Huaraches are shaped like a sandal and would remind you of sopes or tostadas. Huaraches have a thicker masa base, making them easier to hold. The beef is slow cooked to be incredibly tender and flavorful. You can top with lettuce, cheese, green sauce, and avocado. It’s a great family dish.
