Beef Suet

As a key ingredient in many recipes, beef suet amplifies flavor and gives a distinct richness when used in place of shortening. It’s great for deep frying, baked goods and pastries, or use tallow as an ingredient in steak and kidney pies. Cut beef suet into 1-inch cubes and wrap in foil. Store it in the freezer, where it will keep for several months.
